Our intention was to develop a low cost tag, to find secondary nests of the Asian hornet, no more no less. The result is our LowlandTag

Some specifications of our LowlandTag:
- low cost
- low weight: < 180mg
- specifically designed to detect nests of the Asian hornet
- designed to allow attachment to the hornet without additional weight
- all LowlandTags operate on the same transmission frequency of nominally 150 MHz
- battery life >36 hours (at 1 s period and 8 ms pulse duration)
- period and pulse duration can be changed on request
- compatible with existing receivers (Lotek, etc.)
- rechargeable battery, requires a LowlandTag-Charger
-easy start/stop is provided, and this without additional equipment
